If you are looking for a way to start earning a living at home, consider becoming a Certified Electrician. There are several states that require people wanting to become licensed plumbers and electricians to pass an exam. You will be expected to pass this exam before being able to take your practical test. However, there is one very easy way to skip all of the testing and just start earning money right away. All you have to do is find a willing and qualified contractor who needs work.
It is very easy to find a willing contractor if you look in your local Yellow Pages or on the Internet. There are many electrician schools across the country that you can attend to earn your Certified Electrician credentials, and all you have to do is sign up for their classes when you’re offered. Once you’ve started learning, you will also learn how to pass the certification exam.
Some states require that you have a high school diploma or GED to enroll, but not all states do this. If you do not have a high school diploma, you may be required to take the GED exam. Some electricians will accept those with GED’s and accredited courses in high school. However, not all of them do. For that reason, it is usually recommended that you take the exam if you don’t have a high school diploma.
You will start by going to one of the many certified electrician schools that are available. There will be a short orientation session where you will learn about being certified, and they will teach you all about installation. After that, you will complete your training and be ready to take the exam.
The majority of Certified Electrician schools will offer some sort of an apprenticeship program. This is a great option for someone who does not want to attend a classroom and learn by themselves. When participating in an apprenticeship program, you will complete the work requirements and the final test during the same class, so you will have the opportunity to get your hands-on experience while working with other electricians. You will be able to pass your final test after the apprenticeship program, giving you your official certification.
To become a Certified Electrician, you must pass the GED exam, the exam required by the state you live in, and then you must complete a 6 month apprenticeship program. At the end of the apprenticeship program, you will take the final exam to prove you are a certified electrician. Once you pass the GED exam, you will become a CEE. The next step is to take the CCNA exam, and then you will become a CNA with a specialty residential electrician license. Becoming a CEE is easier than it sounds, as many states do not require licensing, as long as you pass your GED and take the appropriate classes.
